Alex started playing guitar while growing up in Queens, NY. He quickly began playing in bands and continued guitar studies in college while completing an engineering degree. Employment took him to Los Angeles where he studied jazz guitar for several years. Eventually winding up in Ithaca, he was a member of many bands such as Foots, Rising Sign, Swingsation, Specker/Earle duo, Sally Ramirez Band, The Eclectics, and others.

Alex and his wife Iska are both dancers and bring that perspective to The Pelotones' music.
